Ok thats it.
The saga continued on Friday: I took the car to NRMA in Waitara (near Hornsby) at about 1:30pm (half an hour late because i got lost on the way, turns out i’d driven past it at least 3 times). They took one look at it and told me it wasn’t roadworthy and would have to be left behind. They called me a taxi but the taxi never arrived. I told the receptionist lady i had to meet somebody important in the city (read between the lines or ask Andy what this means) at 4 so she got some guy who worked there to drive me back to Pennant Hills. He was a really weird guy and he refused to do a u-turn at the lights to go back along the road we’re on (if you’re coming from the Hornsby direction you actually have to go past our place and turn back) so we went through the bottle-o…
Anyhoo i got home late so then i got dressed real quick and managed to get to the station in time to miss the train by seconds….then i bought a ticket and rang up the person I was meeting to say why i was late and she said she couldnt see me after 4 cos she was all booked up. Sigh! Luckily i hadn’t gotten on the train yet when i called her so I explained to the train ticket guy why i wasnt going to the city anymore and he was nice and refunded my $6.40. Also after i left work, i checked my phone and my boss had left me a message that i’d got the pay rise i’d been asking for! So i really don’t know if it was a good day or a terrible day…Â
Hmm what else…I discovered a burn on my arm, not sure where i got it from, must’ve been from the pizza cooker i keep banging into. I’ve decided we need a sandwich press. Speaking of cooking: The other day it was my turn to cook, it wasn’t long before I had to go get Andy’s opinion “why is the room filling up with smoke before i even started cooking?” Seriously…why would the pan start smoking before anything is in it?!? And i don’t mean a little bit, the room was filling up. Anyways, today i made Andy some nice wraps, it had eggplant, tomatoes, beef strips, cheese, onion, lettuce, and some other stuff from the dark corners of the fridge. He said he liked it so yay for me!
Amila came over on Thursday night for a quick game of pool, it was a very close game. It was his birthday on Monday so we went out to Kellyville for a nice family dinner.

I’ve been happy with my Breville sandwich press, it has an adjustable height stop (so your sanwiches do’nt finish 1mm thick). Make sure it’s big enough. on the topic of cooking i’m preparing a turkey roll roast from Watsons Turkey farm, straight from freezer to skillet (mmm crispy on the outside, frozen on the inside). Been driving the x1/9 about a bit ( dumb idea ), decided to join the RAA (will hopefully help when the dumb idea breaks down) when I was at Mt Gambier to see the surgeon.
Sumali, So Sorry we joked about your car crash, we were really concerned. We just have a strange way of showing it. Hope all mends well with you, the car, and the other lady you collided with. How are things going with both your jobs. Jo and Wayne were home for a short time over the weekend picking up their outdoor setting. I certainly miss you all. Especially hugs from Andrew.
I could certainly use them lately. Thinking of you both, luv ya.
Ello Nigel! I actually like sandwiches that are squished beyond recognition…we’re not going to go shopping until we have my car back, Andy’s enjoying going shopping with me and saying “nup that wont fit on the bike, can’t buy it.”
Hehe no worries Dana, Andy’s parents are allowed to make fun of me! Yeah Andy hugs are the best, don’t worry we’ll be down around christmas time so only another two months to go.
