Padma Wijesekara, my grandmother on my mothers side, passed away quietly in her sleep last week with the funeral taking place tomorrow.

Having left Sri Lanka shortly after we settled in Australia, she kept an eye on us kids and we have so many funny and wonderful stories from those years but in recent years she had been quite ill and was being taken care of by the lovely nurses at the Donald Coburn Center nearby when she passed away. We saw her the night before and it did look like she was at peace but she will be missed greatly.

Progress is good!

  We had ourselves a fire in the back yard! The toasted marshmallows were schweet!

I cut a hole in the house for the new instant hot water system! Its in place, but someone forgot to take a photo of that…

Some tiles are laid and grouted!

The pealing water proofing stuff is off, and its been primed and resealed!

Tile cutting has begun!
