Happy mothers day for yesterday all the mummys out there (including Joanne whose birthday is today also, happy birthday Joanne!).
To celebrate the family went out to an Indo Lankan restaurant in Seven Hills where Andy had his Garlic Naan with butter chicken, I had my Beef Kotha Rotti and everybody else had a variation of Dosa, Curry and Vade’s. Probably should have taken photos because it looked great.
In the meantime we’re one step closer to getting the house, still need to get the first home buyers grant thing approved which might take a while. We’ll see.
We’ve decided to have our engagement and house warming party on the same day at our house (once it’s at a stage where we can have visitors) and just have one big celebration so if anyone who’s not in Sydney is planning to visit us that would be the ideal weekend to do so.
Heys,
First things, first, there’s a new poll out, be sure to vote on the sidepanel ->
For those of you who have noticed the missing whiteboard, basically it got spammed after upgrading, we can put the old one back if anybody thinks they’d use it but you can comment on each individual post. Let us know.
We spent SriLankan New Years with the extended family, pics are below.

Our memory doesn’t extend beyond the previous week so last week we had the usual Tuesday night dinner with Andrea and Rhyl at the Inn, last night we helped Annabelle brush up on her pool skills before sending her on a dangerous ride home on the train and tomorrow night we’ll be doing steak night at the Fernando house. Got the motorbike repaired (with the bike repair kit stolen out of its locked compartment) and the car got serviced and its brake pads replaced so we can start getting out again.

Twas a merry christmas at the Fernando household, the food was awesome (thanks mum) and the kids were a lot older this year entertaining themselves with poker and darts. Who remembers the days of hide and seek?

I think this was the most multicultural we’ve ever been, we even has a dog (Toby) join in on the festivities!

The men sat outside, the kids guzzled down the dessert and the lovely ladies lounged out in the lounge.

The memories will last for a lifetime,

Yeah we haven’t been posting that much lately…but here’s the latest: We’re contemplating leaving at the end of our lease but there isn’t much nice choices out there for us. Plus we like the fact that pizza hut, kfc and subway is a 5 minute walk away…and Bunnings and maccas being a 5 minute drive away. There’s a few places closer to where we work but they’re all pretty grubby….we’ll keep you posted anyhow.
In other news, Bordertown High School is on facebook now with Andy, Andrea, Jo and some other people i dont know on there. If anybody’s reading this that went to Btown High, go check it out.
The traffic seems to be getting worse and worse lately, there’s always an accident somewhere. Andy has awesome work hours and gets to miss out on all the fun. There’s a tonne of photos on our camera memory card I really have to get them up. We checked out some craft places for Dana but there really isn’t much around…there was one magazine that came with a dvd but Andy said Btown had those already. We never made it to hobbysew so probably this weekend. We’re also going to get shelves for Andy’s work on the weekend cos he’ll have the work ute for the weekend.

We walked to the chinese place in Pennant Hills on Friday night for a lovely dinner, we both love san chow bow (minced meat mix wrapped in lettuce leaves)

While Andy was off in South Australia over the long weekend I spent some time with the fam, did Malisha’s Myer shifts on Saturday and Sunday so she could study and then had the Monday off which will be my only day off for the next 3 weeks. Poor Andy is going to have to entertain himself (won’t be a challenge for him at all i’m betting). On Monday before Andy arrived (flight delayed by an hour), the fam went out for Yum Cha in Carlingford which has myteriously lost a lot of its usual customers…we contemplated why over chinese tea, rice noodles, dimsims, calamari, prawn dumplings, chicken rice, beef and pork noodle, fish balls, green veg (the nice type), soya bean pudding with syrup…there’s so much more variety when you go with a big group, we ended up having a lot of stuff. I took pics with their camera, will upload in due time…
