Christmas at the Fernando’s
Twas a merry christmas at the Fernando household, the food was awesome (thanks mum) and the kids were a lot older this year entertaining themselves with poker and darts. Who remembers the days of hide and seek?
I think this was the most multicultural we’ve ever been, we even has a dog (Toby) join in on the festivities!
The men sat outside, the kids guzzled down the dessert and the lovely ladies lounged out in the lounge.
The memories will last for a lifetime,
andy and smily
Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day to all the awesome fathers in our life! Keep up the good work.
Me and Andy joined my family for a Fathers Day dinner at a chinese restaurant in Eastwood. Eastwood is about a ten minute train ride away from our place (but a 20 minute drive!) and the place we ate at is usually packed at lunch because their Yum Cha is so good.
So what did you guys do for fathers day?

OMG, long time no blog… Again!
Hello Hello,
Sorry guys, i have been tardy again with the posting. Last time i said to myself i’d never let it go two days without blogging. Ha…
Annnyways, lets see…. Ooh, work is heaps different now, the guy who interviewed and hired me has been forced to resign… The business still wasn’t making budget so…. Lol must make sure i never become a branch manager…. Also my assistant never got his CPM role, so now his go to an interview to be transfered to the Parramatta branch. So sad, too bad :-p Also, the plumbing warehouse dude has also applied to be transfered the Marrylands store. This is a shame as he’s a good worker and friend. But to be fair, marry lands is walking distance to his home, and he’d get paid the same for a lot less physical work….
I’m still doing well at my work, the area manager has been spending a lot of time at my store as we have been without senior management. He offered me a position in Darwin to work for 2 weeks as they are going to be in need of an experianced branch assistant up there in October. I’m not really right for that as i have spent less than 10minute on the front counter and its a purely plumbing store, so insteading of drowning i turned it down. A shame, as i could have caught up with Ray with free travel and accommodation, but yeah still nice to be offered…
Me and smily are alone! our room mate has moved out! we have been a bit bad… Today we put a deposit on a $3998.00 billiard table at B&B Billards… We haggled them down to $3600 and upgraded accessory pack… We’ll get it delivered within two weeks… I know, were bad… Its flash as… Just uploaded a pic of the style. We are getting a 7′ table, so it’ll have 4 legs, not 6, burgandy felt and dark walnut stain. Its the most upmarket 7′ table they make…
Okay, time for bed! chat latter peeps!
Andy

Birthday recovery and break-ins
Hello
First of all thanks to everybody who wished me a happy birthday in one way or another, it was really weird, some ppl phoned or sms’d, some ppl left comments on this blog, others left comments/items in facebook, (hehe Jojo sent me a hippo). I have to say i’ve never felt so in touch with technology before!
Speaking of technology, Andy got me an awesomely beautiful computer case, its really beautiful and i love it, i’ll post a picture of it when i get home (i’m writing this at work). He also got me a snazzy power supply and my parents got me a graphics card so Andy ended up pulling my computer apart and we’re using my old case for the file server or something and he left me to put my computer together again with the new bits. Poor Annabelle came home to see our mess everywhere and the next day her dad came around to help her get some stuff. He always only sees our apartment when its messy! Speaking of Annabelle she’ll be staying for an extra week while the tenant living where she’s moving to moves out.
We went to Ocean Seafood Restaurant in the piazza at Towers which was nice, I got a strange meal with cubes of feta cheese in the nice and prawns and peeled carrots…it sounds awful but it tasted great, everybody enjoyed their meals except my dad but he got the fish and fish is usually yucky. Andy had the fish and chips liked. My mum made a really nice cake with marshmallow cream and rose petals, it looked like a gigantic edible porcupine.
On a serious note the garage downstairs where we keep the car and motorbike got broken into and 5 cars had their windows smashed in. It was pretty shocking. Apparently somebody left the front door open so anybody could’ve gotten in. Too bad the building is so well insulated against noise or we might’ve heard something. I’ve always parked my car inside the garage assuming its safer in there but i guess not…I guess living next to a train station increases the incidence of ferals mooching around.

Great to hear you tried the steamer, you will be supprised how much food you can steam, and how good it can taste. It will be a lot cheaper if you cook your meals at home, instead of going out. I have started working at the primary school. I love it there are a few jobs I can’t do because of the pain. But mostly everything is okay. Bye for now luv ya, Dana

hehe yeah, we’re trying…i bought a whole bunch of spices on the weekend to try them out and see what happens.
We finally made it to craft hobbies today, they didn’t have dvds but they had a lot of books. Some were like a collection of tutorials for particular quilts and some were more general like a book on doing different borders. What kind of stuff do you do at the primary school?

Hello
Yeah we haven’t been posting that much lately…but here’s the latest: We’re contemplating leaving at the end of our lease but there isn’t much nice choices out there for us. Plus we like the fact that pizza hut, kfc and subway is a 5 minute walk away…and Bunnings and maccas being a 5 minute drive away. There’s a few places closer to where we work but they’re all pretty grubby….we’ll keep you posted anyhow.
In other news, Bordertown High School is on facebook now with Andy, Andrea, Jo and some other people i dont know on there. If anybody’s reading this that went to Btown High, go check it out.
The traffic seems to be getting worse and worse lately, there’s always an accident somewhere. Andy has awesome work hours and gets to miss out on all the fun. There’s a tonne of photos on our camera memory card I really have to get them up. We checked out some craft places for Dana but there really isn’t much around…there was one magazine that came with a dvd but Andy said Btown had those already. We never made it to hobbysew so probably this weekend. We’re also going to get shelves for Andy’s work on the weekend cos he’ll have the work ute for the weekend.

Hi! Thankyou for checking out the craft stores, don’t worry anymore. Sounds like you are very busy at work Andy. Sorry that you may have to move it’s a bummer moving all the time.
Rod’s okay to have his op on the 13th September. We will be going through all the panty cupboards this weekend, to get rid of all the thing that are not allowed to be eaten. He is on fluids for the 1st month after the op.
I don’t know have I’m going to do it, but I need to finish fixing the house, because I want to sell and move to Yorke Peninsula. Has Michael caught up with you, about Christmas, he and Kate would like to have a family Christmas at their new house. So if you are down for christmas that is where we will be.
Hope work isn’t getting you down to much.
Luv Ya both, Dana.Comment by dana — July 27, 2007 @ 10:17 pm
