Hiya ppl!
We have been doin lots lately! umm… i bought some motorbike boots of ebay…. bout time i got some safety gear seeing as i spend 45mins on the bike in syd trafic every day…. bidded on some leather pants today so i can wear shorts to work also.
As smily said i have won a recumbent exercise bike! i hope to set it up under my desk so i can get some kind of excerise… i have porked up… heaviest i have ever been… Got it for a bargain, and the best bit is there warehouse is 300m from where i work, so me and smily will pick it up tomorrow at lunch. twill post pics once its set up!
Yesterday we bought a barbee! little 480mm round thing, and of course a whittle gas bottle. its gonna work otu sweet as we have eyed off a bench to patio heater which takes the same size bottles. again, we’ll upload pics once we pull our fingers out…
Today i got officially promoted to eXeTeL Gaming Network Co-Server coordinator. Basically now i have the access to bring the whole thing crashing down at my slightest mistake… Senior EGN Coordinator Thor was the man who gave me this opportunity. Will hopefully be catching up Den(Thor) and his Mrs (Crazy Squid) while they are in town next month and a beer or two. Lol, Nigel you’d like Thor, his a karate teacher and goes to the gym everyday too… cept his town already had a gym so he didnt have to build one…
Umm… thats basically it.. oh work is going well, get to work my first Saturday next weekend… whip pee… I’m basically work in the Hardware side now to get it in shape for stock take which is mid November.
TTFN!

Nuthin much is happening these days…had a games night on friday which was nice even tho we only played one game hehe. Family came around for dinner the friday before that:
Andy’s purchased a recumbant trainer off of ebay, i’ll let him tell you about that one! Steak nights at the Inn on Tuesday are now Pizza at Belmontes nights since they got a new chef at the bistro and he’s got ridiculously high prices. We have a red beanbag now for people to sit on because there’s really not enough chairs:

Cooking With Smily – ten handy tips
I have picked up some handy tips for all you home makers out there, here are some things you might not know:
- never microwave a snickers bar for 15 seconds even if it started out frozen
- try not to burn your fingers right after you cut a chilli because your instinctive reaction is to put your fingers in your mouth to soothe them and then you have to drink a lot of water to soothe your mouth…
- cream does not go in currys unless it’s coconut
- never pick up stuff that came from the oven with your bare hands
- you can’t play pool and cook at the same time it’s not good for the equipment
- scotch and coke will go with anything
- yes there are some popcorns in the popcorn bag that just wont pop
- don’t forget you’ve put stuff in the fridge, check every now and then in case there’s something in there you’ve forgotten about, (that goes for stuff on the top shelf as well)
- read the label before you buy herbs because you might end up buying chives instead of coriander…..
- have 000 on speed dial (Andy helped me out with that one)
Well i hope i helped somebody out, until next time, goodbye and good luck!

Ok thats it.
The saga continued on Friday: I took the car to NRMA in Waitara (near Hornsby) at about 1:30pm (half an hour late because i got lost on the way, turns out i’d driven past it at least 3 times). They took one look at it and told me it wasn’t roadworthy and would have to be left behind. They called me a taxi but the taxi never arrived. I told the receptionist lady i had to meet somebody important in the city (read between the lines or ask Andy what this means) at 4 so she got some guy who worked there to drive me back to Pennant Hills. He was a really weird guy and he refused to do a u-turn at the lights to go back along the road we’re on (if you’re coming from the Hornsby direction you actually have to go past our place and turn back) so we went through the bottle-o…
Anyhoo i got home late so then i got dressed real quick and managed to get to the station in time to miss the train by seconds….then i bought a ticket and rang up the person I was meeting to say why i was late and she said she couldnt see me after 4 cos she was all booked up. Sigh! Luckily i hadn’t gotten on the train yet when i called her so I explained to the train ticket guy why i wasnt going to the city anymore and he was nice and refunded my $6.40. Also after i left work, i checked my phone and my boss had left me a message that i’d got the pay rise i’d been asking for! So i really don’t know if it was a good day or a terrible day…Â
Hmm what else…I discovered a burn on my arm, not sure where i got it from, must’ve been from the pizza cooker i keep banging into. I’ve decided we need a sandwich press. Speaking of cooking: The other day it was my turn to cook, it wasn’t long before I had to go get Andy’s opinion “why is the room filling up with smoke before i even started cooking?” Seriously…why would the pan start smoking before anything is in it?!? And i don’t mean a little bit, the room was filling up. Anyways, today i made Andy some nice wraps, it had eggplant, tomatoes, beef strips, cheese, onion, lettuce, and some other stuff from the dark corners of the fridge. He said he liked it so yay for me!
Amila came over on Thursday night for a quick game of pool, it was a very close game. It was his birthday on Monday so we went out to Kellyville for a nice family dinner.

I’ve been happy with my Breville sandwich press, it has an adjustable height stop (so your sanwiches do’nt finish 1mm thick). Make sure it’s big enough. on the topic of cooking i’m preparing a turkey roll roast from Watsons Turkey farm, straight from freezer to skillet (mmm crispy on the outside, frozen on the inside). Been driving the x1/9 about a bit ( dumb idea ), decided to join the RAA (will hopefully help when the dumb idea breaks down) when I was at Mt Gambier to see the surgeon.

Sumali, So Sorry we joked about your car crash, we were really concerned. We just have a strange way of showing it. Hope all mends well with you, the car, and the other lady you collided with. How are things going with both your jobs. Jo and Wayne were home for a short time over the weekend picking up their outdoor setting. I certainly miss you all. Especially hugs from Andrew.
I could certainly use them lately. Thinking of you both, luv ya.Comment by dana — October 1, 2007 @ 9:56 am

Ello Nigel! I actually like sandwiches that are squished beyond recognition…we’re not going to go shopping until we have my car back, Andy’s enjoying going shopping with me and saying “nup that wont fit on the bike, can’t buy it.”
Hehe no worries Dana, Andy’s parents are allowed to make fun of me! Yeah Andy hugs are the best, don’t worry we’ll be down around christmas time so only another two months to go.

All that’s left…
Cue the violins!
…a corner of my heart has broken off and is lying somewhere on the junction of Churchhill and Carnarvan Street with some of my license plate…
Here’s what the other lady has to put up with:

Rod wondered if you drive your car like you cook? “Joke Joyce”!!!!!
It’nt he mean. We were trying to work out whos fault it was. Lets change the subject.
Michael, Kate and Isabella are moving into their new house this weekend. Kate starts work at Gumeracha Hospital as a Social Worker, the hospital is a country town about 15km from Williamstown.
I told Rod what I wrote about what he said about you, he called me a bitch.
Catch you later, bye luv ya.Comment by dana — September 27, 2007 @ 9:34 am

Hehe thanks…just so it’s clear: I usually drive better than i cook! I would rather drive in the city than cook one meal…actually both of those sound equally bad. If it must be known, the whole accident was entirely my fault…I plan on sending the poor lady some chocolates for ruining her day. That’s all i’ve got to say about it!

Back Online
Hi Peeps,
Back online once more! adsl2+ is sweet…. We have actually had it back for a week now, but haven’t got around to blogging till now. Things to do, ya know.
Work has changed a bit, i now start at 7:30 till 4:30, instead of 6:30 till 3:30. Traffic is heavier, but i carve through it okay. I have also been signed on to do 1 saturday out of 4. Sucky i know, but they have amended my wages so for the 4 hours im there im basically getting paid 2.5x normal rate. That seems fair to me… My off sider still hasn’t been finallized. Hopefully it will soon as im so busy at work im getting over whelmed.
My Games adminning is going well. I’ll get full access to the servers once i sorte out my linux system at home. its one of those thingst that take time. The forums are back up also which is great games.exetel.com.au if your interested.
We are having a games night on saturday. poker, 8ball, uno and jenga. Should be good!
Anyways, i have some games to invest time in, so ttfn!
Andy
slowly dying…
Hi all,
Just a quick update while i’m on the internet at work, we STILL haven’t got internet at home…it’s become so painful! It’s been well over a week, bordering on two…me and Andy are wandering around aimlessly like lost souls in an analog sea. We had to RING pizza hut to make our order the other day instead of using the usual website ordering system…
What’s strange is we’re starting to find other stuff to do like on the weekend we bought a 1000 piece puzzle (the picture is a whole bunch of smarties so it’ll be hard to do) and we managed to get the border around it done. It’ll be interesting to see if we get back to it once internet is back within our reach.
Stuff we’ve done lately:
- Andy built my parents a really solid archway for the bottom of the garden where the path forks.
- We hung out with Andrea heaps, Rhyl’s been away somewhere doing stuff.
- Went on mini bushwalks (a few hundred metres..)
- Watched heaps of movies and sat around…
- Played heaps of pool…
Ok home time, byes!
