Well these days have been long ones lately…Andy’s been busy with the stocktake long hours, Sumali has been doing something or other, besides the pizza for dinner we all had on Thurdsay night its really been a very lonely few days. I’m writing this as Andy spends his time at work (he’s there til midnight tonight)…I think i’ll spend some time putting up Annabelle’s photos from our first poker night. Check out our poker nights album to see all the pics.
In other news I used my menu booklet thingy to order a pad thai from the "Gail Thai" place near Thornleigh and then when i went to pick it up they didnt have my order so they made a new one for me. Anyways i came home and munched away happily on my pad thai thinking that this was the first time my favourite thai place has stuffed an order up when i got a call from the thai place…."we have your beef pad thai here, we were just wondering when you were coming in to pick it up?" So i was like "wha? i already picked it up but it wasn’t beef it had prawns in it" and she was like "oh ok just checking you got your order"….then it twigged. I checked the booklet and turns out i’d had it open in such a way that I confused one menu for another and i’d actually ordered from "Pimarn Thai" near Pennant Hills….I feel massively bad about it so i’m going to go there for dinner sometime next week and give them a tip about the same as a pad thai would cost….If anybody wants to join me you’re more than welcome to!
Just spoke to Nigel on the phone, he’s having lots of fun with his girls Porridge and Petal (love those names!) and offending me in general

p.s. I found an interesting flash "map of religion" online which I found very educational, it goes through 5,000 years of religion in 90 seconds:
Does everybody like the little slideshow on the sidepanel? The pics coming from our picasa web albums photo albums which after all the research into online photo management websites has come out equal best along with Flickr. If anybody out there wants to put up their own album, Picasa Web Albums is nice and so is Flickr, let us know your username so we can add you as a friend.
Coming up in the next few weeks Sumali has a wisdom tooth removal and we drive up to Patonga Views on the first weekend of June, should be fun.
Hello peeps. Today I graduated with a "Graduate Diploma in Design Science (Digital Media)" which was nice. Mal, Mum and Dad came along. The ceremony took forever but we pulled through. I thought I woudn’t know anybody there but turns out Oli was there! While everybody from Des Comp was out working Olivia was also getting her Masters so well done to her. USYD has had a bit of a makeover and put wooden floorboards and artsy looking things everywhere for a major part of the walk from Redfern station. They have way too much funding if they’re wasting it on stuff like that, there was nothing wrong with the concrete walkway that was there before…They’ve also ripped up the concrete where the parking was on the way past Carslaw Building all the way up to the Library so it looks like they’re making some improvements there.
Aaaanyways, afterwards we drove back home along the Harbour Bridge, Lane Cove Tunnel and the M2 motorway that was almost gridlocked although i’m pretty sure the traffics been worse than that. We met Amila, Khris and Andy at Gail Thai in Thornleigh where we had a lovely dinner. Mals got the photos, she’s got an essay to do so i’ll be getting the pics off her later. In the meantime you can check out some photos from when i last graduated here (since they all look the same anyways) plus we just uploaded the Birthday Dinner photos for my Dad, check them out here.
I was meant to have another night of stocktake preperation, but the store managers’ daughter was sick, and he had go to pick up from primary school so that fell through. Which is a bit sucky cos over time rules, and i have heaps of stuff to do before the actual stocktake (tomorrow [friday] week).
The headache sumali mentioned was a shocker! I had like 15 codine that morning… and still had it! Gone now, and hopefully for good!
Anyways, because i had stock take prep, Sumali accepted a shift at Myers, which is where she is now. Im home alone! So i ordered pizza online and picked it up from thornleigh Pizza Hut its so sweet, i can order it online, take 10mins to dordle there and its ready when i arrive;) plus we getta super price ordering online($5.95).
I gotta sms from ray this morning at 3:57am. I might repeat it here cos its funny….
"Hey .. Im in denmark now.. The lost all my fucking clothes the fuckers! But i still have my other bag with all my important stuff in it.. Money.. Scotch.. And guess wat?\! U can drink pretty much anything here.. Wandering the streets with a beer is acceptable.. Im home, at last. Lol. Soz about time. Ron!"
Anyways, I gotta go play some counterstrike while my server is still running. The gaming network i have been a member of for over a year finallly gave me admin privliages, and then four days later they announced they are shutting down…
Andy took half a day off today cos he got a headache poor snookum. Tomorrow he gets to work 14 hours to prepare for stocktake, lucky boy……
We miss Kittypie:
Arr those were the days…but i’m glad Kitty has now made friends with the other kitty’s and Dana and is being nice in general! Although i’ve always thought she was nice….
Saturday night was meant to be a nice steak dinner at the Pennant Hills Inn with Amila, Khris and Malisha but sports kind of ruined the whole thing.
The cricket final between Sri Lanka and Australia was looming at 11pm and Mal was too busy preparing the house for a cricket party with the two tvs set up for watching what ended up being a losing battle (2 hours delayed due to rain too). There was also some kind of football game going on during dinner time which brought in the annoying/smoking/loud/obnoxious people at the pub so we definitely weren’t sticking around there. We ended up walking to Eastern City Chinese on Hillcrest Road (they also do daily yum-cha between 11-3 if anybodys interested). We didn’t take the camera unfortunately since we were walking and we’ve swapped the small camera for the big heavy one but here is what we had to eat:
Pork Ribs with Chilli and Spicy Salt – yummmy
Sizzling King Prawns – sizzled all over the place, a bit messy but also yum
Beef with Satay Sauce – really nice although the cup of flame in the middle seemed a bit unnecessary
All of this downed with chinese tea and a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc whose name i’ve forgotten…
If there was another person I would’ve recommended the Shredded Beef Peking Style that Annabelle ordered for dinner the other day. Its sweet but really nice if you get it fresh and hot.
Bought a new washing machine from Kmart because it was way too much effort taking all our washing all the way to Cherrybrook to get washed…..the downside is my mum won’t fold the clothes for us and leave in a basket to pick up anymore but the upside is we can wash what we need when we need and if its an emergency we can chuck it in our dryer straight away or just hang it out in the designated hanging area. We’re not allowed to hang up our washing on the balconies so they’ve set up specific spots for us to hang up washing, nothings been stolen yet so its all good so far! Andy is really enjoying it at the moment, its his new favourite toy.
On April the 20th of April we went out for a early birthday dinner for Andrew (Fernando! - my dad). We (Andy, Me, My Mum – Mala, Dad – Andrew, Sister – Malisha, Brother – Amila and Sister-in-law Khristine) went to the pizza place in Oakhill Drive Village which is near the public school where me and Malisha went and a few streets away from the house so it was a nice familiar place to go. (Oakhill Drive also has an awesome old fashioned lolly shop if you ever feel like buying sherbett and candy necklaces). Anyhoo we had some nice pizzas and some good pasta, prawns seem to be their speciality.
