Easter at Ettalong Beach

Very Pretty InteriorBack from Ettalong Beach this morning after the Easter long weekend, we have fresh pictures to share! We drove up via the F3 just past Woy Woy to Ettalong where we stayed at the “Mantra”. It was a very posh kind of place that surprisingly didn’t have the best service we’d ever experienced despite being the most expensive place we’ve stayed. The breakfast buffet was good however (as all buffets are!) Andy still believes its an “eyesore”, you can make up your own minds:

Mantra at Ettalong Beach

On the way there we stopped by at The Entrance (which was actually further away) and had an expensive prawn basket for lunch which we decided never to have again…

Check out the latest map of where we’ve been here on Google My Maps.

Picnic on the BeachWhile going for a walk along Pearl Beach which is a few minutes drive away from Ettalong Beach, me and Andy decided to kick it up a notch and have a Picnic on the beach. Get it?!?!

We also got to check out some pretty nice scenery while we drove around:

We had a really nice Easter weekend, it all felt like a holiday while on holidays. Check out more photos on our Albums page. Seeya in the next post!

Dean’s Wedding at Berambing

Well…it was a long drive to Berambing in the heart of the Blue Mountains but we finally made it just in time for Dean’s (Sumali’s boss) wedding to Brooke. The weather was nice, the chapel was small and cosy. It got nippy at times but the sun warmed us up nicely. Alfred (Sumali’s colleague) forgot to videotape the first part of the ceremony, if it wasn’t for Andy’s quick thinking Alfred would have missed the whole lot. The reception was nice, each table got a few cameras to take snaps of each other with and we got to draw other people at the reception on pieces of paper and other strange/fun things like that.

House Warming Party version 1

Yesterday we had a little house warming party, mostly Annabelle’s friends (mutual friends through Myer) and a few of my friends that had nothing better to do that night hehe. Had a blast with our friends, the others were a bit weird and sports crazy, just kidding, they weren’t that sports crazy :p  …..We’ll have a proper house warming later when we get our sh*t together :)

Andi and Rhyl’s Poker Night

After our poker night, Andi and Rhyl bought their own poker set and invited us around for a game (with real snacks instead of our dodgy ones! yay!)

everything starts out innocent enough...         sloshing around all happy like         The winning pair

More photos at Andrea and Rhyl’s website. I must say i’m a little worried about the "incriminating" videos that are mentioned. Hopefully none are of the karaoke!

Election Day

Today was election day! Since I hadn’t changed my address on the electoral thingy and Andy wasn’t on any electoral thingy, things could have been a lot more confusing. Andy ended up working at Tradelink in the morning to help them catch up and I drove to Castle Hill where they had booths up at the old primary school (Oakhill Drive Public School rocks! (well not really(could be worse tho))). As per usual my vote didn’t count for much…

Andi and Rhyl’s House Warming

Sumali with the ladiesYesterday we went to Andi and Rhyll’s house warming party in Carlingford (only a few roads away from us which is nice). We got to meet some new people including Andi’s mum and dad who’d brought up Andi’s adorable little dog Holly for her.

Andy enjoying the BBQWe also met their neighbours (and the kids) and a mystery possum in the trees that we couldnt see but was apparently really cute.

Andi’s mum’s cheesecake is absolutely amazing by the way, ask her to make you some. Thanks for inviting us Andi and Rhyll, hope we are invited over again :p More pics of the housewarming and other Andrea and Rhyl related stuff can be found on their website "Randa".

Malisha’s Birthday at Jiminez

Happy 18th Birthday Malisha! Tonight the family (Sumali’s Mum Mala, Sumali’s Dad Andrew, Sumali’s Brother Amila, Sumali’s Sister-in-law Khristine, Andy and Sumali) took Malisha (Sumali’s sister) to Jiminez in Baulkham Hills for some nice Mexican food. The service was great this time (quality of service really changes depending on when you go). The food was good (not fantastic like it sometimes can be) and we all got to sing happy birthday while they brought the cake in.
