Windows

On the weekend Andy and Jonathon replaced one of our windows today with doors that cost just over a $1 each (I’ll let Andy tell you the story about the 75 doors we bought off auction)…pics of our new window will be coming soon, still have to paint it.

Jelly and Jam are now back at home after a two week vacation at Mala and Andrew’s place hanging out with Malisha and co and generally destroying the place:

We also found out how the trip to Sri Lanka went and what arrangements they made. Turns out they had a rough time when my Dad collapsed one night, just when they were getting ready to relax too. So far the hotel reception has been booked and so have the flowers and photographers so nearly all ready for next Feb. Lost of decisions to be made now…

I’ve ordered a new phone too so hopefully should be back on the grid soon.

  • I heard about the well priced (understatement of the year!) windows and doors acquisition, can’t wait to see them! 75 of them! Aww, cute kitties.

Ack, how’s Andrew now? What caused his collapse? Recovered fully I hope? =/

Woohoo for more things organised for Feb. Err.. you’ve “lost” decisions? ;)

Yay for new phone soon. ~ Cynthia xox

  • Heeeys, yeah my daddy is fine now but gave my mum a big scare, apparently it was a heat stroke because their driver didn’t turn on the air conditioning. Later on in the trip the same car broke down and ruined their whole trip really. The company that gave us the driver will have lost a big sale because we won’t be using them next Feb for anything, of course my mum made sure the owner knew all about it hehe.

Cynthia perhaps it was Freudian, I am quite”lost” when it comes to the decision making.

My new phone hasn’t arrived yet…was I a fool for thinking Optus might be better than Telstra? Oh well, locked in for 24 months now…

Photo Update

Hi Guys,

Ugh, sorry we have been slack with our blogs again! but now its update time!!!

A few weekends a go we went crazy and laid two slabs in one weekend! Thanks Jonathan for the Saturday and thanx Andrew and Mala for the Sunday!

Picture 031 22060_290792009329_508144329_3342090_8161310_n 22060_290792359329_508144329_3342095_7399177_n

Last weekend Smily got her hair done! She dragged me along so I was sitting in the car waiting for like 2 hours… thanks Smily!

IMG_5091 IMG_5093 IMG_5095IMG_5096

During this week I installed the second tank and plumbed them together! I have the submersible pump installed in the tank, but I still need to hook up the rainbank and plumb it into the house supply. Also started the fence/gate for the side of the house ;)

Amila and Khris got two kittens this week! they are actually Jelly and Jam’s little brother and sister. Unfortunately they only got to spend 12 hours together. Apparently it can take weeks for cats to “accept” new kittens into the family.

Jelly and Jam got desexed on Friday. Poor little muffins… walked around all drugged out all weekend…

We went out and bought them some cat nip to make them feel better. Even though they look like weeds, it must be real, check out how they react!!!

We also got them a cat flap so they can explore the great wide world!

A quick trip to Ikea for some home improvements! Two mirrors for the new bathroom, a new curtain for the bedroom and a plastic bag holder!

Picture 020 Picture 021 Picture 022 Picture 023

And finally we sanded and repainted the swinging chair. I probably should have done it a year ago, but I think the weather damage is only relatively cosmetic…

Both our cats seem to like water, well they have both managed to fall into the spa at some stage… Here is Jammy on a boat ride…

  • Of course! And have a cuppa afterwards! =D

    Comment by Cynthia — January 31, 2010 @ 10:44 am

  • Hi, at least you are planning things well, the way you 2 work you will whizz through you list a lot faster than others.
Wayne put the computer and my plasma TV in my bedroom so once I tidy the sleepout ajoining my room I will be very self sufficient.
We had a great amount of tomatoes and eggplants from our garden, plus onions, squash, basil, dill, potatoes, beans and spinach. Soon I will dig up the horseradish to make that up.
It wont be long and we need to get the garden ready for our winter crops. But we have fun, swapping our vegies with other, we get pickled crab, fish, pickled onions, pumpkin and Jo is getting some natural home made cleansing cream. So its worth swopping.
Must go all is well, Thomas is just beautiful. Mia is so close to walking. Bye Mum

Driveway!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in ages guys. I was waiting until I fixed my puter, but it looks like its going to be a more expensive fix that anticipated, so I’m installing things i need on this puter…

We have started on the driveway! Amila has helped us lay two slabs so far, just 10 more to go….

IMG_4969IMG_4970 IMG_4972 IMG_4973 IMG_4974 IMG_4981

And yesterday I installed a tread and riser for the foot path to the front door. Naturally I had to make a simple thing complicated by cutting a spot to fit a uni-pit…

In the meantime I got a fun action shot of Jam:

IMG_7901IMG_7927

IMG_7723Got to love action shots, ten points for anyone who can spot Jelly in the same picture.

IMG_7722…and we never did share those photos we took when that building in Silverwater caught on fire ages ago did we? It was a plastics building so lots of black smoke and this is what we could see from our house.

  • *laughs* Aww, did Andy nudge Chewy out of the “comfy chair” or vice versa? =) Great job on the water tank! Will it be linked to watering systems? Jam & Jelly are so adorable. ><

    Comment by Cynthia — January 15, 2010 @ 11:04 am

  • Hi Cynthia!

Haha yeah chewy’s used to it. Yup the tank will be linked to the watering system according to Andy, almost everything will I think.
