Hi Guys,

Sumali is in the process of updating our site so you can watch video’s of our new house, but until then, here are some pics of the renovation so far!

We have gutted the inside walls of the dinning room which will become the new bathroom.

Making a wonderful mess in the mean time

We have then make the room a bit bigger, and starting the plumbing for the shower, toilet, vanity and spa.

Happy mothers day for yesterday all the mummys out there (including Joanne whose birthday is today also, happy birthday Joanne!).

To celebrate the family went out to an Indo Lankan restaurant in Seven Hills where Andy had his Garlic Naan with butter chicken, I had my Beef Kotha Rotti and everybody else had a variation of Dosa, Curry and Vade’s. Probably should have taken photos because it looked great.

In the meantime we’re one step closer to getting the house, still need to get the first home buyers grant thing approved which might take a while. We’ll see.

We’ve decided to have our engagement and house warming party on the same day at our house (once it’s at a stage where we can have visitors) and just have one big celebration so if anyone who’s not in Sydney is planning to visit us that would be the ideal weekend to do so.

Dana sent us some really awesome photos and stuff from the past and now that our scanner is working well I have to share this absolutely adorable letter with you:

I can’t quite decipher his last line but I think he’s saying he lost his tooth when he ate an apple. How cuuuute!

In other news most of you already know we applied to buy a home recently which we’ve signed for so now we’re filling out lots of convoluted forms with the bank and being all impatient while we wait for settlement.

We managed to time all this so that we’re stressing out with home loan stuff right in the middle of when Andy has his stock take and is working late nights. He’s working right now but luckily today’s the last day and we go see the bank on Monday to hand in all the paperwork. I guess the real stressing begins when we find ourselves half a mill in debt and having to budget better. Fun fun.

We picked up my puppy from SA this past weekend. He was sucha good boy, no trouble on the way up. I slept in an adjacent room next to him on the first night. All was well throughout the day. Until he was left alone. 20minutes he was by himself for, and we came back to this!

Sucha silly bugga. We levered up the gate and got him out. From all the drool on the ground im sure he was there for the full 20minutes…

Hello hello!

I was in a Counter Strike Source war last night!

Good times, eXeTeL Admins vs Community!

I didn’t play that great, but HERE is one round where i owned…

We’re in the middle of an unusual weekend.

Today we checked out a house we’ve been thinking of getting. When we came home and looked online we realised we missed a lot of open houses that we could have gone to. Oh well, next weekend maybe. We will probably spend the next few months hunting around for a good place that fits both our requirements. Andy wants a house to fix up and I want a house to live in (with no creepy crawlies!). We’re looking for somewhere near work and we can’t go over the 500K mark because then we won’t get the first home buyers bonus plus I hate owing money on anything.

Tomorrow I’m going to the Sydney Bridal Expo with Simmy for some bridal ideas and then checking out dresses maybe. She’s just recently got engaged too so I’m going to tag along with her and leech off her organised-ness.

Will keep you posted.

It came with a low volume baffle which i have installed. Dont want to attract tooo much attention

• Malisha you never asked for any! My jam roll turned out terrible too by the way, it went all soggy in the fridge so I chucked it.

  thanks Jo jo, the lamingtons turned out waaay better than my sponge cake experiment. Still haven’t figured out how to not ruin sponge cake…maybe attempt number 3 will be the charm?
